Summary:
School-Based Health Centers were established for students to help make the best quality health care available in our community more accessible to them. Because they are located right in school, School-Based Health Centers help students overcome many obstacles to receiving good health care - obstacles such as lack of transportation, inconvenient appointment times, or worries about cost and confidentiality. School-Based Health Centers provide comprehensive medical and mental health care, treatment, and health education to promote a healthy lifestyle. Our centers are operated by a partnership that includes Beebe Healthcare System, Indian River, Cape Henlopen, Sussex Central Sussex Tech School districts and the Delaware Division of Public Health, Department of Health and Social Services.
The Program Manager oversees all operations of the School-Based Health Center specific to program planning and delivery of services to include compliance with regulatory/licensing requirements, fiscal viability, information services and strategic planning for future growth. Assures medical, mental health and dietitian clinical programs adhere to professional standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and program management with a primary goal of assuring excellent patient care and satisfaction.
Manages direct reports and setting goals and objectives.
Responsible for variances and financial reporting.
Organizes monthly staff meetings and helps drive program production.
Facilitates connections for educational programs for the school community and community outreach.
Responsible for building wellness center image, including site tours, marketing center to parents and students along with school partners.
Ensures staff provides quality clinical care and maintains documentation pursuant to the requirements of insurance and billing requirements using ICD0-10 coding with appropriate clinically justified diagnostic criteria.
Coordinates with population health for transition of care to community setting as necessary; maintains knowledge of resources including community providers and support organizations appropriate for the patient population served.
Other information:
Bachelor degree required in Healthcare, Social work, MHA, MS/MA in Counseling or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Mental Health (LPCMH)
3-5 years of supervisory experience managing a team in a medical office or hospital like setting.
