Job Summary:

Assists anesthesiologists in preparing patient and operating room for each procedure as directed.

Requirements:

• Must be able to provide high school diploma or GED upon request.
• Certified anesthesia technician or 2-3 years’ experience as an anesthesia technician preferred Required to have or obtain pharmacy tech license
• Must be computer literate.
• Effective customer service/interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Prepares and/or checks anesthesia equipment and supplies at the beginning of shift according to department policies and procedures
• Ensures proper equipment and are available and present for procedure according to department policies and procedures
• Cleans and restocks anesthesia carts and helps protect and maintain anesthesia and anesthesia-related equipment according to department policies and procedures
• Assists physicians in preparing patient for induction and emergency procedure according to department policies and procedures
