Summary

POSITION SUMMARY Serves as a working Team Leader, coordinates the receiving, storage, and distribution of medical supplies throughout the facility to ensure patient supply needs are met.  Coordinates medical supply distribution and to ensure the needs of the patient and staff are being met.  Responsible for following proper infection control practices and regulatory requirement to maintain the integrity of clean supplies from receipt to end user..  Willingness to accept new ideas and work under stressful conditions. Performs specific duties related to stocking and replenishment of medical/surgical supplies. Inventory supply locations on assigned nursing units to assure the correct amount of supplies are readily available. Receive and deliver supplies and equipment to assigned nursing units in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. Work with Nurse Managers and Supply Chain Distribution Supervisor to adequately adjust par levels to assure proper inventory availability. Be an active Supply Chain team member and abide by and embrace the team and hospital mission, vision and standards of behavior. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Required:

One (1) year Hospital or Inventory Experience.  Computer experience or training.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to think clearly and quickly.  Must have good math skills.   Must be able to cope with demanding customers and respond

calmly.   Must be comfortable in close quarters with others who are working.  Must be able to withstand many hours of standing,

walking, stooping, bending, lifting supplies, and moving equipment.  Must have manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and

adequate vision.  Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.  Must be able to work as a team member with peers and other departments.
