Shift:  Day

Working Hours:  M-F 8-5

Summary:
Demonstrates independence and accountability to provide care for a complex patient population. Committed to professional and department growth and enhancement. The Staff Therapist II has one year professional experience or facility competencies completion. Must be able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Other information:
EDUCATION: Education requisite of MA or MS and required license/certification for the position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: One (1) year experience with medical Speech-Language Pathology preferred including training in dysphagia evaluation and treatment with video-fluoroscopic swallow studies. Will be orientated to department policies and procedures.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be in process of completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Must be licensed by the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. If not currently licensed, a  letter from the board stating that application has been submitted, a determination has been made stating  criteria for Speech-Language Pathology has been met per application review, and an eligibility date has been established

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Will spend most of shift using computer and implementing Therapy with patients. Must be able to statically lift, push/pull for assisting safe patient mobility. Must be able to twist, bend, stoop and reach. Will occasionally assist with the transfer and mobility of patients. Intermittent exposure to infectious diseases and chemical disinfectants with protective measures and follow up treatment provided.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
