Description
The Business Intelligence Specialist 2 duties are performed under minimal supervision and work is reviewed in terms of meeting specific goals and objectives. This position reports to the Manager, Scheduling Operations. · Designs and produces operational and business reports, and communicates results and recommendations to appropriate parties · Designs and conducts analyses of Scheduling, Charge Posting, and Nursing processes, functions and tools, and provides assessments to leadership and staff · Performs key project management role regarding OR block management functions · Partners with Operative Services Business Intelligence Team and CareConnect (Epic) developers to optimize structure and maximize efficiency for data collection and reporting functions, including management of Box and other platforms · Develops effective reporting processes and controls, including documentation for current end users and future platform development · Gathers and documents reporting requirements from business owners and/or business analysts, prepares functional and technical design documents. · Develops reports and supports user acceptance testing of new reports and reporting software, creates scheduled and ad hoc reports. · Evaluates current performance relative to departmental objectives and targets. Identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement. Make recommendations for improvements.
