Shift:  Day

Working Hours:  Weekends

Summary:
Under general supervision, performs cardiac ultrasound studies to include 2-D echocardiograms, stress echoes, and trans esophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) according to established standards and procedures.

Other information:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: Experienced as an Ultrasound Technologist. Enrolled or completed an accredited course in Cardiac Ultrasound Technology and be eligible for Registry exam at completion of accredited course.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: Must maintain current BLS certification. Must be registered or registry eligible in Vascular and/or Cardiac Ultrasound.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent stressful conditions encountered in patient care and time management of patient load. Intermittent exposure to contagious disease and chemical disinfectants with protective measures provided. Must be able to lift while positioning and turning a patient, administration of CPR, reaching, stooping or similar movements. Must be able to walk or stand extended time periods.

This job will be authorized 0.80 hours bi-weekly.
