Department: Nuclear Medicine

Shift:  Day

Working Hours:  7 to 3:30 with call

Summary:

The Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, including PET/CT, and attends to the safety, mental, and physical needs of patients. They ensure the production of high-quality images for interpretation and completes proper documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine.
  2. Certification eligible upon date of hire. Must be certified within one year of hire.
  3. Have and maintain Arkansas Department of Health Temporary Nuclear Medicine License until permanent license is applicable.
  4. Required to have and maintain current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT)(N) and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board in Nuclear Medicine (CNMT).
  5. Have and maintain current Arkansas Department of Health Nuclear Medicine License.
  6. If performing PET/CT, certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography (ARRT)(R), Computed Tomography (ARRT)(CT) and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board in Computed Tomography (CNMT)(CT) is required within 2 years of applying for a temporary PET/CT license with the Arkansas Department of Health.
  7. In performing PET/CT, technologists must have and maintain an additional license with the Arkansas Department of Health. This can either be an Arkansas Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License, Arkansas Department of Health PET/CT License or a Temporary Arkansas Department of Health PET/CT License.
  8. Must have and maintain current CPR (American Heart Association-Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
