Performs radiologic examinations that the employee has been “deemed competent to perform” as a radiology student. All images are checked by a Registered Technologist PRIOR to completion of study and sending to PACS (Picture Archiving Communications System).

Education:

1) High School graduate or its equivalent.
2) Currently enrolled in a Radiology Student program.
3) Must have completed first year of the student program with passing grades.
4) Remains current with Radiology competencies.
5) Maintains hospital wide mandatory education.

Experience:

1) No previous work experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

1) Follows the Medical Center’s customer service standards.

License/Certification/Registration:

1) Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Receives direct supervision from a Registered Technologist while on duty. All images are checked by a Registered Technologist PRIOR to completion of study and sending to PACS.
