Position Summary: 

Working in support of the Performance Improvement (PI) Management team, the project coordinator is responsible for assisting performance improvement and care delivery initiatives, throughout our organization to achieve sustainable results aligned with the system strategic priorities. The Project Coordinator will utilize the process improvement playbook, dashboards, and metrics to successfully assist in the facilitation and delivery on all specific projects plans. The project coordinator would assist in the tracking of each applicable stage throughout a projects lifecycle and make sure that critical information is shared among the various team members. The project coordinator can expect to support scheduling, organizing, record-keeping, monitoring progress, updating team members and partners, and managing project information flow in their day-to-day responsibilities. This person will provide strategic direction, support, hands-on leadership, and excellence in planning and process improvement.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Partners with the PI Manager, system wide stakeholders and teams across Central Maine Health to optimize and streamline the care delivery systems and related support services to deliver the safest and best experience for our patients.
  • Works collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve targeted and sustainable improvements using Performance Improvement methodologies, tools, techniques and High Reliability Organization principles (HRO).
  • Coordinate and support projects and tasks ensuring day-to-day assignments are completed and outcome goals are met.
  • Organize project-related meetings, including the creation of agendas, meeting minutes, preparation of materials, and report outs.
  • Document activities and develop feedback reports to communicate project findings and activities to collaborators and others involved.
  • Provide recommendations and feedback by communicating to appropriate leaders, teams, and committees, soliciting input as needed.
  • Monitor project deliverables and timelines; notify the appropriate project sponsor and/or lead when issues arise.
  • Coordinate initiatives to ensure that dates, times, rooms and equipment are arranged, and details are communicated to participants.
  • Work with PI Manager in change order management, project tracking and document control activities.
  • Communicates clearly and timely with hospital administrative staff, clinicians, vendors, project teams, and customers.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or other healthcare related field.
  • Health care experience strongly preferred.
  • High level of commitment to continuous improvement in the quest for comprehensive and quality health care
  • Experience in project management and process improvement with motivation to develop advanced level proficiency desired. The ideal candidate will have project management experience in healthcare or a desire to pursue certification and training in project management and Lean Six Sigma. The Project Coordinator will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, healthcare system.

The expected compensation for this position is $61,000.00-$74,000.00 USD annually. Please note, this is a good faith estimate and years of experience, education and internal equity are taken into account.
