Perform a variety of clerical and non-trauma imaging tasks to assist in the Imaging department.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience
- Entry level patient care, Customer Service
License/Registration/Certifications
- BLS Certification
- SCRQSA –Limited

Core Job Responsibilities
- Able to Lift, push, pull and move adult patients with and without assistance
- Provide patient and technologist assistance under duress of smells, blood and body fluids
- Perform a variety of patient-oriented tasks to assist in the imaging department
- Assist in transport of patients to and from the imaging department
- Assist with clerical duties in the imaging department to include answering the phone, patient pre/post phone calls, obtaining CD’s for medical records and/or patients, coordination of imaging procedures with other departments, requesting medical records from other institutions, etc.
- Positively responds and implements change when needed and has good decision-making skills.
- Assists technologists with quality control and maintenance of all equipment in the area
- Properly utilize accessory equipment such as patient moving devices, stretchers, warmers, scanners, printers, and PACS workstations
- Assist technologist with preparation of patients for procedures
- Assist patients in/out and on/off the imaging equipment using correct moving devices and equipment
- Report changes in patient condition to medical staff.
- Performs all tasks listed under the limited General SCRQSA Certification
- Follows, maintains and helps implement hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Consistently communicates with patients, guests, staff and physicians in a positive manner
- Knowledgeable of compliance and regulatory requirements and adheres to Federal, State, accrediting bodies, and standard practice of care for patients, staff, guests and facilities
- Adheres to departmental procedures and protocols
- Rotating schedules for after hours and holidays when applicable
- Assist with correct charging of procedures and supplies daily
- Helps to maintain departmental inventory of supplies
- Helps to maintain departmental cleanliness
- Works as a team member with peers and other departments. Responds calmly and efficiently to situations.
- Regularly attend departmental meeting, in-services and actively participate in continuing education activities
