Summary
Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System (SRHS) located in Spartanburg, SC is seeking to hire FULL TIME Experienced BC Trauma and Critical Care Surgeon. SRHS is a 540 bed, ACS Verified Level 1 Trauma Center with a mid-size community general surgery residency program and a critical care fellowship. The ACS team is supported by a multidisciplinary team of providers which includes 8 critical care surgeons, 5 APP’s and Surgical learners (Fellow/Resident/Student) and Clinical Pharmacy. Candidates must be board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care with a strong interest in acute care surgery, emergency general surgery, trauma and critical care. The group is fully integrated with the surgical residency at SRHS. This position requires the successful candidates to be committed to patient care, resident, fellow and medical student education with a proven track record and interest in leadership, education and clinical research. Only candidates with a minimum of 5 years post fellowship training will be accepted.

- 5000 Emergency general surgery encounters
- 4000 Trauma encounters (85% blunt and 15% penetrating)
- 3500 Trauma admissions
- Call: 1:7
- Very busy/high acuity general surgery cases
- Airway management
- Thoracic experience
- Chest Wall reconstruction
- Experience with teaching residents is required with a proven track record of clinical research.
- $6,000 CME allowance
- Paid Malpractice Including Tail Coverage
