Physical Therapist Assistant
Towson Sports Medicine – Bellona Location
Towson, MD
Full Time – Day Shift

We’re looking for compassionate and experienced Physical Therapists Assistant to join our team in our Bellona Location.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant you will:

Deliver physical therapy services through evaluation of patient needs, goal determination, and development of treatment plans according to the principles and practices of physical therapy.

  • Performs limited direct physical therapy services to patients in accordance with Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Practice, code of ethics, and departmental policies and procedures for the delivery of limited physical therapy services. Escalates questions/concerns to therapists or higher level assistant staff.
  • Records patient data collected for re-evaluations and care provided in the medical record, in accordance with departmental documentation standards.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities and suggests areas for improvement to colleagues in a tactful and considerate manner. Proposes performance improvement topics and alternate treatment techniques to improve occupational therapy services.
  • Assumes responsibility to resolve or report basic clinical and operational issues to department leadership for resolution, in order to assure high quality care, and efficient departmental operations.
  • Demonstrates interdisciplinary, safe, patient-centered care and delivers excellent customer service.

TSM is a highly reputable Outpatient Orthopaedic therapy provider with strong ties to the community. Our physical therapists focus on providing high quality patient-oriented care in a great working environment. We have highly experienced staff with low turnover and work in close contact to some of the best orthopaedic doctors in the state.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Maryland
  • Current ACLS or BCLS certification
