Description

Are you passionate about surgical pathology and looking to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes? Join our team as a Pathologists’ Assistant, where you’ll play a vital role in patient care by ensuring accurate specimen processing and supporting groundbreaking research. From grossing complex surgical specimens to training Pathologists’ Assistant students, your expertise will help drive excellence in the lab every day.

In this role, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform dissection, description, and histologic sampling of a full range of surgical specimens
  • Conduct specimen photography and radiography
  • Perform frozen sections and other intraoperative consultations
  • Procure tissue for tumor banking and research studies
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve problems related to surgical pathology
  • Assist with accessioning and specimen labeling
  • Support the orientation and training of residents, fellows, new staff, and Pathologists’ Assistant students in surgical pathology protocols and procedures

Salary Range: $92,600.00 – $202,200.00/year
