Overview

Responsible for coordinating, planning, organizing and implementing a specific service. Ensures regulatory compliance, and develops policies and procedures to support organizational and regulatory requirements. Monitors parameters in area of expertise and then coordinates performance improvement and training activities. Communicates information effectively. Works effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve objectives of the program. Specific: Responsible for the area of Clinical Pharmacy. Coordinator, pharmacy clinical programs; maintenance and design of clinical computer operations.

Responsibilities

Pharmacy/Nursing staff clinical education Business review and contract management of oncology medications Therapeutic prospective patient chart review to ensure patient is a candidate for medications ordered Pharmacy and therapeutics management of oncology medications Formulary management for oncology medications Liaison between oncology providers and the pharmacy department Billing liaison to ensure appropriate response to denied or rejected claims.

Qualifications

Minimum two years experience in a related field. Able to communicate effectively, pleasantly, cooperatively, and discretely with patients, physicians, team members, and the general public. Able to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality. Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience. Demonstration of creativity, initiative and problem solving. Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
