Position SummaryThe Nurse Manager organizes and directs the administration of a defined clinical area with 24-hour responsibility and accountability. Applies the management concepts of planning, organizing, directing and controlling to implement the clinical nursing program in defined areas. Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate. Employees are encouraged to support Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System's involvement in the community we serve.

- Current license of work permit to practice nursing in South Carolina

Core Job Responsibilities
- Manages nursing administration in identification of purpose and goals of nursing service and nursing education.
- Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates nursing care
- Coordinates staffing
- Manages budget preparation toward provision of adequate personnel, supplies and equipment.
- Assumes responsibilities for nursing care in assigned area.
- Counsels and evaluates nursing personnel for optimum performance and demonstrates and teaches the nursing staff the clinical aspects of nursing care.
- Develops and participates in orientation and in-service education programs for areas of specialization; assists and works cooperatively with faculty and student nurses who have clinical practice in the same area.
