Description

Under supervision of the Principal Investigator and Laboratory Coordinator, the Laboratory Assistant provides technical support to members of the research team on a number of projects from the lab and to actively collaborate with the Department of Laboratory Animal Medicine participating on current Good Laboratory Practices Studies. Scientific job duties include maintaining various human primary cancer cell lines, fluorescent activated cell sorting (FACS) and molecular cloning for viral-vector generation for gene transfer experiments. Laboratory duties include maintain research records, maintain laboratory stocks ordering supplies and consumables for research projects, and oversee lab functions maintaining optimal compressed gas levels and proper equipment operation. Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full hourly salary range for this position is $21.38 – $25.15. The budgeted hourly salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is about $21.38.
