Position Summary:
Responsible for the management and oversight of effective hospital-wide and critical information technology operations in compute and storage systems, electronic mail, data backup and recovery, telephony infrastructure, systems and devices, remote access, and, virtualization. Ensures data and systems are secure, backed up, recoverable, available, and effectively maintained to support hospital operations and patient care. Manages a high performing team by providing guidance, direction, and mentorship.

 

Job Requirement

 

Education/Experience:
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience with information technology infrastructure management system and solutions, compute and storage management, virtualization, email, and telephony in which two (2) of the years were in a management role.

 

Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements

 

  • 5 years of experience overseeing aspects related to networks, data centers, hardware, and software.
  • Experience in managing complex technology infrastructure projects. This involves handling intricate initiatives related to infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization
  • Experience with Avaya telecommunications systems.
  • Experience engineering and/or managing VMWare and Citrix virtualized solutions.
  • Familiarity with network design principles and practices
  • Experience managing data centers.
  • Experience managing project managers.
  • Experience in mobile device management.
  • Experience with Service Now or similar incident tracking system.
  • Experience with automated application/OS patching policies and mechanisms.

Knowledge of:

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for extended periods of time, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
