Shift:  Evening

Working Hours:  2:30 - 11p

Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares and compounds sterile products utilizing strict aseptic technique; accurately assembles medication, compounding supplies and labels for preparation of sterile admixtures; maintains compounding and controlled drug records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and state and federal law and regulations. Performs daily, monthly and quarterly cleaning and quality control activities in accordance with USP 797 guidelines. Monitors and/or maintains drug and compounding supply inventories; keeps drug and warehouse areas clean, neat and tidy.

Other information:
High school diploma required. Certified or certification eligible and registered as a pharmacy technician with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy required. Experience in the aseptic preparation of large/small volume parenterals, nutrition, antibiotics, IV hydration and other compounded sterile products. Must possess basic knowledge of pharmacy terminology and the intended use of the drugs compounded or otherwise assembled for patient use. Must be able to work well with others, communicate effectively and possess good organizational and time management skills; the ability and initiative to plan and complete daily activities with attention to detail.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
