Position Summary

We are home to Nevada's ONLY Level I Trauma Center, Designated Pediatric Trauma Center, Burn Care Center, and Transplant Center. We are a Pathway Designated facility by ANCC, and we are on our journey to Magnet status.
Position Summary:
Responsible for operational oversight and development of high-quality, cost-effective, and integrated hospital specialty clinics and outpatient procedural services. Monitors and evaluates quality of clinical care, service performance, staffing, and cost effectiveness of care delivery process across the value chain.
Job Requirement
Education/Experience:Equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care, or a closely related field and seven (7) years of managerial experience in a health care environment, practice management, medical specialty or ambulatory services.Licensing/Certification Requirements:
None.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements
Knowledge of:Health care industry and clinic practices; product line development; federal, state, local and accreditation laws, standards and practices; current quality improvement concepts; establishing and optimizing provider practices, including financial forecasting, expense management, and workflow standardization; budget development; best practices and benchmarking performance standards, including but not limited to clinic staffing, provider scheduling, and workflow design, inventory management and purchasing processes, quality and patient satisfaction metrics; Electronic Medical Systems (EMS); relationship of health care administration to medical staff, nursing staff, ancillary departments and the community; external agencies affecting provision of patient services; physician recruitment and retention methods; negotiation techniques; department and hospital safety practices and procedures; patient rights; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures; age specific patient care practices.Skill in:
Providing leadership; problem solving and conflict resolution; developing organizational strategies and strategic plans; profit/loss projections; exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making to achieve clinic and system-wide objectives; working effectively in a political environment; planning and organizing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal or no direction, delegating and supervising responsibilities as necessary to achieve desired results; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members, providers, executives, cross-departmental teams, patients, and the public; using a computer and a variety of software applications; allocating resources; making effective decisions; developing policies; communicating effectively in oral and written forms; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, use a motor vehicle to travel to remote sites, remain seated and maintain concentration for extended periods of time, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
