Position Description

This Position is Open to Current TTUHSC Employees Only.

The Enterprise Systems Analyst I's scope of responsibility includes providing enterprise system design and architecture implementation, planning, deployment support, and administration of multiple enterprise systems. This includes consulting with users on specification requirements. Discretion and sound judgment is expected. Enterprise positions are restricted for use in central IT Division areas reporting to the institutional CIO and, as such, may interface with key IT leadership and/or other functional leadership from Texas Tech University System institutions.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Service Work Orders for Enterprise IT departments and customers for trouble tickets and request for services.
  • Provide administration and support functions for MS Server OS, MS AD, MS Exchange, MS Lync, MS Clusters and load balancers, CommVault, DFS, Linux, SAN, VMWare, etc. including minor upgrades, server patching, tuning, configuration changes, day to day maintenance, and other technical tasks as needed. Continue to develop and maintain proficiency with all supported systems.
  • Interface with key IT leadership and/or other functional leadership.
  • Microsoft Server operating systems administration.
  • Assist with new Server Setup and Configuration (OS, BIOS,iDRAC, RAID, etc.).

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus five (5) years related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal nine (9) years.

In accordance with Texas Executive Order GA-48 and applicable state or federal law, this position may involve access to, work on, or conduct research involving critical infrastructure. It will require background checks, including, but not limited to, criminal history and other security-related screenings. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of these checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current TTUHSC Employee.
  • Experience adhering to TTU System and TTUHSC Policies and Procedures.
  • Experience administering and operating one or more of the following: Microsoft Windows Active Directory domains, Exchange Server, Skype for Business, SQL Server, or Internet Information Services.
  • Advanced training in systems analysis, design, and administration through additional education and/or experience.
