Shift:  Day

Working Hours:  Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Summary:

The Denial Specialist is responsible for working claim denials for Baptist Health. This includes initiating the reconsideration or appeal process.  They must be able to document, track status, and work with payors to resolve issues in a timely manner. They will work closely with the PFS management to assist in collecting data on root causes and denial prevention procedures.

Other information:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Bachelor degree preferred.
3. 5 years experience in medical billing and insurance.
4. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and effectively multitask.
5. Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills required.
6. Ability to communicate accurately, clearly, and professionally.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
