Location: Hospital-Main Campus

Shift : Monday - Friday 8 hour Day Shift

Work Status: Full Time

 

Summary:

In collaboration with Informatics and hospital education, conduct and coordinate a variety of EMR-related classes, refresher sessions and workshops for hospital staff, develop Job Aides, WBT's, and Videos. Scope to include All Beebe Healthcare EMR's. Annual Review of Job Aides and Workflows.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

Conducts classroom training sessions, in- services, group and individual instruction independently or with coworkers, for select groups of Beebe staff. This includes new hire orientation. Provides instruction through lecture, demonstration, and proctoring self- learning sessions. Conducts program evaluations and end-user proficiency assessments. Set up and populate electronic training environment. Prepares training environment and all training materials for each class. Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Participates in identifying learning needs of staff with Informatics team, subject-matter experts (SME) and rounding to speak directly with end-users. Utilizes LMS to ensure accurate class and student information is uploaded, to retrieve lists of registered students per class, and update student records at the completion of class. Assists Informatics and LMS administrator with collecting and maintaining education metrics. Coordinates access with security team after competency assessment is completed by trainee Works with content developer and Informatics to develop classroom training materials and job aids, as needed. Supports Super Users as necessary to maintain ongoing ability to actively support end-users. Supports those departments conducting in-department training to ensure there is consistency in training across departments. Assists in ensuring compliance with the TJC for departmental competencies. Participates in the system testing process for new functionality or system upgrades Attends required meetings external to the organization, and participates on committees as requested. Demonstrates consistent, reliable, credible, respectful and timely customer service to all end-users. Provides on-going support, including off-hours training when needed (occasional evening/weekend) training.

Other information:

Demonstrated teaching ability, both giving lectures and live demonstration. Is an articulate and organized public speaker. Utilizes adult learning principles in the preparation and delivery of education. Possesses two years in training and/or working with the public. Holds a Bachelor¿s degree in healthcare, education or related field. Previous healthcare IT and/or EMR training experience.
