Working Hours:  8-5, M-F

Summary:
Provides acute stroke services to reduce disability and death. Responds to Stroke Alerts in the emergency department and Rapid Responses/Codes throughout the hospital involving stroke patients. Participates in immediate evaluation, initiation of stroke protocol, consideration and administration of intravenous thrombolytics, thrombectomy or other appropriate intervention for seamless delivery of stroke care. Actively participates in multidisciplinary secondary stroke prevention. Works with both Neurology and Neurosurgery departments.

Other information:
Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing. • -Advanced Practice Nurse License (acute care) • Minimum 3 years neuro experience preferred (as RN or APRN) • Healthcare provider for AHA BLS required *Plans education and evaluates effectiveness *Recent experience in stroke outcomes, research and intervention is desirable *possesses DEA license with schedules 2N, 3, 3N, 4, 5 *Completion of ANVP certification within 2 years of hire (effective 12/31/2022)

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
