Job Description

Towson Sports Medicine/University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a part time certified athletic trainer in the clinic outreach setting.

The primary placement for this position will be at the Concordia Preparatory School in Towson, MD.  Concordia Preparatory School is a CO-ED middle and upper school in Towson, MD with a robust athletic program. Concordia Preparatory School competes in the MIAA and IAAM.   

The athletic trainer will provide the following services to youth student athletes: evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, development and implementation of prevention programs, practice and game coverage.  The qualified applicant will serve as a liaison between parents, athletes, coaches, administrators and their supervising team physicians from University of Maryland Towson Orthopaedic Associates. Furthermore, the athletic trainer will be responsible for the oversight and safeguarding of injury records and other protected health information, injury tracking, assorted monthly reports, supply purchasing and inventory, budget development and monitoring.

As a member of the Towson Sports Medicine clinical staff, applicant will be requred to attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and provide other contractual athletic training services assigned by manager.

TSM is a highly reputable Outpatient Orthopaedic therapy provider with strong ties to the community.  Our Rehabilitation Techs focus on providing high quality patient-oriented care in a great working environment. We have highly experienced staff with low turnover and work in close contact to some of the best orthopaedic doctors in the state.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Maryland
  • Valid Evaluation & Treatment Protocol
  • Current ACLS or BCLS certification
