Pay Rate Type: Hourly

Summary:
The Medical Staff Services Administrative Assistant assists the Medical Staff Services team by performing clerical and administrative job duties and supports the Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professionals by supporting meetings and assisting them as needed.

Responsibilities:
Coordinates all aspects of medical staff department meeting preparation, including scheduling, meeting reminders, agendas, packets, recording and typing of meeting minutes, and meeting follow-up as required
Assists in creation of annual meeting schedule, Outlook Calendar updates and meeting notifications
Establishes and maintains positive, professional communication with the Medical Staff, Advanced Practice Professionals, Administration and all hospital departments
Exhibits a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters
Maintains MD Staff database by monitoring expiring certifications
Triages internal and external phone calls in a professional and helpful manner
Assists with running reports, correcting data, data entry, and routine correspondence
Assists the Medical Staff Services team as needed with credentialing tasks, reports, and special projects
Education:
Essential:
* HS DIPLOMA/GED
Other information:
REQUIRED:
3+ years related experience
High School Diploma or GED
Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point
Preferred:
Associate Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration
2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting
Demonstrated proficiency ASM Products
