DescriptionThe Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Behavioral Health Professional to join our Youth Stress and Mood (YSAM) Program, a nationally recognized program dedicated to improving the mental and physical health of youth through the development and evaluation of treatments for depression, self-harm, and suicide prevention. Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct clinical assessments, evaluations, and interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults participating in YSAM research and clinical programs
- Implement established program protocols for evaluation, intervention, care coordination, and linkage to community and clinical resources
- Provide support, psychoeducation, and recommendations to parents, caregivers, and other significant support persons
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide evaluation and treatment planning for youth presenting with depression, self harm, suicidal ideation, and other complex mental health concerns
- Participate in evolution and treatment services for youth seen in the UCLA Health Emergency Department
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with programs, institutional, and regulatory standards
