This position will support the Valley – West Region. The Valley – West Region is currently comprised of UCLA Health Encino Interventional and Imaging Center, UCLA Health Calabasas Imaging Center, UCLA Health Westlake Village Women’s Imaging Center and UCLA Thousand Oaks Primary & Specialty Care. This position participates in on-call, holiday, and weekend schedules, prepared by the manager and supports one of the medical centers supported by UCLA Health system. Additionally, participation in rotating shifts is required, as needed.

In this role, you will:

 

    • Provide age-appropriate assessment and interventions in order to meet the needs of patients and families served
    • Obtain, evaluate and use information from the patient requisition, medical records, referring physician and correlate with acquired images
    • Use cognitive sonographic skills, to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology
    • Use independent judgement to produce diagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing diagnostic ultrasound systems for our referring providers and our interpreting physicians
    • Extend courtesy to our patients, family members, visitors and co-workers through our “World Class Practices” Service Standards

Internal candidates will be placed according to their Active/Current career ladder level.

External Candidates:
Staff Sonographer:

 

    • One to two years experience within the hospital / acute care setting
    • Must maintain active RDMS certification in one specialty, i.e. Abdomen or OB-GYN
    • Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound program is strongly preferred
    • Salary Range: $58.74 – $77.50 Hourly

 

Senior Sonographer (Advancement into Senior Sonographer job classification can be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health):

 

    • Minimum of four years of prior experience within the hospital / acute care setting
    • Must maintain Active RDMS certification in three specialties: Abdomen, OB-GYN and RVT
    • Proficient in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric and Vascular Sonography.  Additionally, proficiency in interventional procedures
    • Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound school is strongly preferred
    • Salary Range: $65.55 – $79.93 Hourly

Salary Range (Staff through Senior): $58.74 – $79.93 Hourly
