Working Hours:  7p-7a

Summary:
● A Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, and administering care within the scope of his/her training and expertise, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes is met. This is done in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the state of Arkansas.

● A Neonatal Nurse is a Registered Nurse who provides nursing care to infants that suffer from medical complications soon after birth, ranging from congenital defects and surgical problems to prematurity. The nursing roles during this phase focus on assessing the patient and developing a plan of care designed to meet the physical, psychological, educational/health literacy, sociocultural and spiritual needs of the patient and family. The Neonatal nurse is caring and calm, able to deal with witnessing not only births but infant deaths as well.

Other information:

A new RN graduate from an accredited nursing program or Registered Nurse in good standing, and licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas. BSN preferred. Applies basic knowledge and skills to meet standard of care. Is able to practice as a full partner of an interdisciplinary team.  Healthcare CPR required, some areas may require ACLS, PALS and/or NALS - training is provided. Specialty units require and will provide specific specialty education.

This job will be authorized 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
