Project Coordinator - Internal Medicine - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)
As an integrated part of the department, this position assists the Department team in implementing and tracking of specific short-term/long term projects and provides administrative support.
Provides a wide range of operational support for the department. This position coordinates various employee programs including new physician onboarding and orientation, and special events and projects. Assists in the administration and coordination of a variety of functions including planning, organizing, implementing, research, and delivery of services. Possesses the flexibility to manage difficult situations and all levels of staff, leaders and physicians. Ability to perform and multitask effectively in a high volume and fast paced environment.
Essential Duties:
- Provides coordination and oversight of project functions such as planning, organizing, coordination, and implementing activities to meet objectives.
- Organizes multiple tasks with conflicting priorities, delivering the desired results on or below budget and successfully meeting deadlines.
- Creates project plan and timeline, follows up with business owners of project-related tasks
- Provides up-to-date and accurate reports of project budgets and schedules
- Provides explanation and justification of all contingency spending
- As needed, problem solves when delays or cost overruns occur to deliver project as close to budget and on time as possible.
- Skills in analyzing information/situations, defining problems, articulating logical recommendations and recognizing alternatives and their implications.
- Assists in the timely and accurate production of the reports and formulation of recommendations/researches on subjects as assigned.
- Responsible and will assist in the development and maintenance of effective relations with widely diverse groups in the organization on a variety of complex issues and administrative tasks.
- Establishes constructive working relationships with members of departmental staff by performing duties in a cooperative and helpful manner.
- Clearly convey complex problems and proposals in both formal and informal settings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Req High school or equivalent
- Req Directly project related or administrative experience.
- Req Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communications.
- Req Excellent skills in use of personal computer software programs including but not limited to MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Req Must be detail oriented.
- Req Must be well-organized and work independently with minimal direction.
- Req Organization/time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pref Bachelor's degree
- Pref 3-5 years Experience preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
The hourly rate range for this position is $29.00 - $45.20.
