Job Requirements
Position Summary 

The Central Patient Transport Supervisor assists Managers in assessing and assigning work throughout the hospital. Works along with staff daily (80%).

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Experience

  • 2 years management experience in related field
  • Must be able to adjust communication, both verbal and nonverbal, to interact appropriately and effectively with a wide variety of age group (including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics)

 

License/Registration/Certifications        

  • CPR Certification (on the job training and certification)

 

 

Preferred Requirements

 

Preferred Education

  • BS, BA, Masters

 

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years management experience in a related field

Core Job Responsibilities

 

  • Operates all hospital equipment related to Central Patient Transport.
  • Produces and maintains discussion planner and other documentation of work performance.
  • Assists managers with evaluations and other performance related material.
  • Interacts with patient and families based on knowledge of periods of growth and development.
  • Must be able to withstand stress and demands of active position.
  • Must be able to withstand long hours of standing, stooping, bending, and sitting.
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy objects/patients (50 lbs).
  • Must have manual dexterity and adequate vision to perform job.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and efficiently in a crisis situation.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to relate to individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds throughout the hospital.
  • Must be able to work without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all patient populations ranging from pediatric through geriatric.
  • Other duties as assigned.
