Summary:
A Transport Respiratory Therapist is a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) who maintains their Registered status under the National Board for Respiratory Care guidelines. Upon successful completion
of NICU orientation, the Respiratory therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory and clinical care to critically ill neonatal patients. Upon successful completion of NICU orientation the Respiratory therapist
will complete a Transport orientation, to include being a member of the intubation team. A Transport Respiratory therapist, through the use of expanded skills, is responsible for accurate assessment,
planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in accordance with established guidelines while on transport and in the Intensive Care Units or Emergency Department. The Transport Respiratory
therapist assists the Transport Nurse in the stabilization and care of patients during transport under the direction of protocols and designated Baptist Health neonatal physicians/providers.
Other information:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma in Respiratory Therapy. Bachelor's degree preferred. One year of neonatal experience required. LRCP or RRT license required. Able to work independently and as a member of a team. Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
This job will be authorized 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
