Shift:  Day

Working Hours:  M-F 8:30 - 5:00

Summary:
The Bariatric Access Navigator functions as an advocate and educator for patients from point of entry, through diagnostic studies, and facilitates access to medical care for patients expediting completion of preoperative program and/or insurance requirements. Works collaboratively with patients, physicians, clinical, and non-clinical staff inside and outside of the Organization. Helps the patient navigate through possible barriers to care and ensures the patient is able to get medical access, medical clearances, and referral resources in an efficient and expedited manner. Collects, analyzes, and records data accurately from multiple sources. The Bariatric Access Navigator is a key team member, providing knowledgeable support, compassion, and encouragement throughout every step of the patient’s journey. Professional, strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, and excellent telephone etiquette. Ability to prioritize, multi-tasking qualities, stress tolerance and ability to work efficiently and cooperatively. Flexibility in a fast-paced work environment and changes in duties to meet organizational and program demands. Ability to assist in growing the practice through a consultation to surgery conversion rating scale moving towards a monthly goal.

Other information:
• High School diploma required; college degree preferred
• 2-3 years heavy customer service and/or hospitality experience preferred

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
