JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Description
As a Physician Assistant for the Neurosurgical Service, you will work under the general supervision of the Medical Director, serving as a key member of the neurosurgery team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the operating room, coordinating the care of neurosurgery patients, and providing patient and family education to ensure a smooth transition from admission to discharge. You will be responsible for developing and implementing discharge plans, including providing detailed discharge instructions.
Additionally, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, lead the rotational mentoring program, participate in clinical trials, and demonstrate initiative in developing and implementing positive improvements for the allied health team.
Salary Range: $80-$107.64/hourly
Qualifications
Current valid California Physician Assistant (PA) License, required.
National Board Certification, required.
Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program, required
Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), required
Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program, preferred
At least 5 years of relevant Physician Assistant experience, required
Previous experience with assisting in neurosurgeries, highly desired.
Knowledge and skill in wound care and treatment.
Ability to work varying shifts.
