In summary, I am a professional with over 20 years of experience in the Security, Law Enforcement, Background Investigations, and the Private Investigations fields. I am supported by progressively responsible experience in determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies and procedures; implementing recruitment, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, planning, appraising, and ensuring high quality performance and employee motivation.
I am a US Army Veteran of Operation Desert Storm and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from American Public University. I apply my experience and knowledge as the Director of Security Operations for UF Health Jacksonville where I continue to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by designing, providing, administering, evaluating, and improving an effective and efficient security infrastructure.
I'm affiliated with a number of organizations including but not limited to ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security), IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety) and currently serve on the Kaplan College Board of Advisors and as a voting member of the State Working Group (SWG) for Campus Security as a healthcare representative for Regional Domestic Security Task Force of Region 3.
