Venice Family Clinic is a leader in providing comprehensive, high-quality primary health care to people in need with compassion, dignity, and respect. In November 2021, Venice Family Clinic merged with South Bay Family Health Care, uniting more than a century of experience helping patients regardless of their income, insurance, or immigration status. The organization now has more than 500 staff who serve 45,000 people from the Santa Monica Mountains through the South Bay. Under the leadership of the CMO, the staff psychiatrist is an integral part of the clinic staff, providing expertise in behavioral and mental health. Integration of behavioral health in the primary care setting is a model Venice Family Clinic has adopted for many years; offering counseling, individual and group therapy, as well as psychiatric care to manage mild to moderate mental illnesses. The staff psychiatrist serves as the bridge in creating collaborative and comprehensive care for patients struggling with significant mental health challenges and symptoms. The staff psychiatrist works cooperatively with all Clinic departments including staff clinicians, SUMMIT staff (our harm reduction substance use program), and Behavioral Health staff. The staff psychiatrist provides clinical oversight and consultation to psychiatry residents from UCLA and VAH as well as a staff nurse practitioner who provides psychiatric care. The position requires flexibility in work location and in days and hours for clinical care, as some evenings are included in the weekly schedule.  Spanish language competency is preferred.    Salary Range: $250,000-$330,000
