SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY - Job Summary (general statement of purpose or objective of position)
• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct or remote patient care , coordinate the provision of care and serve as a role model in clinical practice, leadership, organization and professional development. The Telehealth Critical Care Nurse is accountable for monitoring a population of multiply-complex adult acute care patients in collaboration with the nurse at the bedside The Telehealth Critical Care Nurse can function as an effective patient care team member both remotely and at the bedside. The Critical Care Nurse Navigator participates in quality improvement activities, clinical education, and evidence based practice to drive continuous improvement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge, skills, abilities, license, registration, certification, education, and experience
• Graduate of an Accredited Registered Nursing Program with an unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arkansas or Compact state. CCRN preferred. Three years of recent clinical nursing practice with an emphasis on critically ill adults. Required clinical skills include but are not limited to: Advanced hemodynamic monitoring, invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, vasoactive medication administration, ACLS, BLS, ICP monitoring, vascular access, cardiac output support, renal replacement therapy, nursing management of multi system clinical conditions, end of life care, palliative management, and comprehensive patient assessment and goal setting. Ability to work well under high stress with a multidisciplinary team in a variety of settings providing both remote and bedside patient care. Well developed interpersonal skills. Proficient at computer application operation.
