JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking to hire a Certified Phlebotomist Technician to join their Laboratory Support Services. Duties include:
•Perform phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients
•Triage all lab samples and requests after verification of appropriate information
•Enter and verify patient and test info into computer
•Generate computer labels for specimens and deliver to appropriate areas
•Prepare samples for transport to referral labs or storage
•Document draws, added tests, and cancelled/rejected specimens
Note – Position will have a variable start time. Shift may start as early as 12:30pm or as late as 2:00pm.
