Job Description:
Fills orders for unit doses, pre-package pharmaceuticals, intravenous admixtures, hazardous medications, DEA Controlled substances, floor stock, supplemental medications, emergency kits and general stock requisitions.
Delivers medications to and returns medications from nursing units.
Performs aseptic intravenous admixing, extemporaneous compounding, advanced outpatient data entry, bedside medication delivery and controlled substances audits.
Maintains proper levels of pharmaceutical supplies, instruments and equipment.
Performs various related pharmacy duties including such quality management activities as drug product recalls, pharmacy area inspections and pharmaceutical controlled substance audits.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Maryland Board of Pharmacy registration is required.
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician required.
Preferred:
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program approved by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy is preferred.
- National Pharmacy Technician Board Certification within 6 months of hire is preferred.
