Responsibilities

You will perform a wide range of functions, including preparing and dispensing medications and ensuring compliance with established policies governing the safe, consistent, and accurate dosing and administration of medication.  You will evaluate and manage clinically significant drug-drug and drug-disease interactions, making appropriate recommendations.  You will:

·      Maintenance of drug formulary, including ordering, conducting inventory, stocking and resupply, documentation, drug handling, administration, and waste. Manage drug recalls and returns.
·      Ensure that the procurement, distribution, and dispensing of prescriptions under MD Dispensing Program is consistent with departmental policies and procedures, State & Federal regulations, and accreditation agencies.
·      Maintain all necessary licensing, contracting, competencies, and staff education requirements.
·      Immaculate oversight of co-pays, patient assistance funds, payer reimbursement, and other sources of revenue associated with MD Dispensing.
·      Oversee medication sample management including maintenance of documentation and ensuring appropriate storage, handling, and prescribing.
·      Ensure that the procurement, distribution, and control of pharmaceuticals administered in the clinic is consistent with departmental policies and procedures as well as State / Federal regulations and accreditation bodies.
·      Oversee design, physical plant, quality assurance assessments, staff competencies, as well as the selection, preparation, and dispensing of hazardous or sterile medications in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800.
