Job Description

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg

As supervised and delegated by a physician or mid-level provider, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

The primary responsibilities of occupational health nurses, according to the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, include:

•    Direct patient care
•    Health promotion and disease prevention strategies
•    Hazard assessment and surveillance of employee populations and workplaces
•    Counseling, health education, and training programs
•    Development, implementation, monitoring, and analysis of health and safety
•    Management of occupational and environmental health services
•    Primary care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses

Reports to: Practice Operations Manager

Job Requirements

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Skills
Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Tennessee.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
