Description
The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care (CPC) is the leading emergency and prehospital academic center on the West Coast. Since 1988, the Center for Prehospital Care has been creating a fund of knowledge for the practice of prehospital medicine, delivering state-of-the-art education programs and conducting research to promote, educate and disseminate prehospital research conducted to advance the field of EMS. The Center for Prehospital Care develops curricula and educates students ranging from EMTs and paramedics, to law enforcement and other first responders, to medical students, residents, nurses, and physicians. The Fire Department & Law Enforcement Continuing Education and Quality Improvement Division is affiliated with over 20 state agencies in the Los Angeles County. Nurse Educators work in affiliated fire department and law enforcement agencies providing continuing education, quality improvement and coordinating ride-alongs to maintain the certification and licensure of EMTs and paramedics, ensure compliance with the LA County Department of Health Services, conduct pilot studies, and promote best practices. This is a 10% per diem position. Salary range: $29.12-$64.27 Hourly
