Position Summary

This Medical Dosimetrist carries out routine dose calculations and measurements for Radiotherapy patients under the direction of the Medical Physicist, Radiation Oncologists, and the department manager.  Dosimetrists confirm that treatments coincide with the treatment plan and the physician’s prescription.  They are responsible for fabricating treatment aids and entering field data into the Record and Verify System.  Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate.

Must enforce hospital rules and regulations at all times.  His/her experience in procedures should be such that he/she requires minimal direct supervision by the department manager or physics staff.

** HYBRID: 50% Remote and 50% onsite

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Associates Degree RT (T)

Experience

  • CMD or CMD Board Eligible

 

License/Registration/Certifications    

  • CMD or CMD Board Eligible
  • Continuing Education as required by the MDCB
  • Member AAMD

Preferred Requirements

Preferred Education

  • BS in a Physical Science

Preferred Experience

  • 1 year of Treatment planning experience
  • 3 years’ experience as a Radiation Therapist

 

Preferred License/Registration/Certifications

  • BS in a Physical Science. RT (T), (CT).
  • Continuing Education as required by the ARRT
