Responsible for assuming administrative responsibility for all areas/functions of the Perioperative Services Division on a 24/7 basis including, but not limited to, pre-procedure testing, Pre-Op, Main OR, Ambulatory and Minor Surgery, PACU, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, and Central Service.
Develops policies and procedures as well as the quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility. Develops the capital and operating budgets for Perioperative Services Division. Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed, including interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale. #GD IND123 IND000 #LI-POST
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a School of Nursing.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience to include a minimum of 3 years of progressive management experience required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
Certification in area of clinical specialty is desired.
