Job Description
The Clinical Specialist Pharmacist is an expert pharmacist practitioner who relies on skills of comprehensive knowledge and experience who maintains practice by ongoing literature review and self-evaluation; responsible for providing various clinical services including but not limited to the following: taking part in continuing education programs for the medical, nursing and pharmacy staff; advising physicians on drug usage and dose control, as well as being competent to optimize drug therapy/treatment plans; assists the pharmacy Clinical Manager and Director in everyday duties; independent evaluations and recommendations for appropriate therapeutic decisions to and in collaboration with other health care providers; and mentorship of other pharmacists and pharmacy students.

Qualifications
Education
- PharmD from ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Required)
- 1-2 years ASHP approved residency (Required)
Certification / Licensure / Registration
- Registered Pharmacist with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- Board Certification (Strongly preferred)
Experience and Skills
- Required Skills: Strong Verbal Communication Skills, Strong Listening Skills, Excellent Organizational Skills
- Minimal 2 years hospital pharmacy experience in critical care or internal medicine
