Position Summary

The Clinical Research Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of oncology treatment clinical trials and of Clinical Research Coordinators and Research Associates.  The Clinical Research Manager is responsible for day-to-day operation of the Oncology Treatment team including taking a lead role in strategic planning and personnel support and operations. The Clinical Research Manager will work closely with Director of Clinical Research and leadership to develop strategies to select, manage and execute clinical trials with intention of growing a sustainable oncology treatment portfolio comprised of NCI and Industry-Sponsored trials. Additionally, s/he will provide guidance and shared learning with and across teams throughout planning and implementation, as well as ensure clinical operational and development deliverables and timelines are met for the research program. The position needs to be an advocate of Clinical Trial Management Software (CTMS) system to provide end user support and promote software best practices. This position will interact with Medical Staff, IT, Executive Leadership, Research Compliance, Finance, and other outside partners.


Minimum Requirements


Bachelor’s in Health-Related Field (BA, BS, BSN)


  • 2-5 years of progressive management experience
  • 3-5 years Clinical Research trial coordination
  • 1+ years Oncology experience


Current South Carolina RN license (for nurse applicants)
