Shift:  Day

Working Hours:  0900-1700

Summary:
Works as the hospital’s expert in all aspects of inpatient and outpatient wound and ostomy care.
The Wound Care Clinical Coordinator is responsible for day to day cooperations of the Wound Care Team.
Performs ongoing research to assure best practice initiatives are in place and followed.
Supports the Baptist Health mission, vision, and values and must demonstrate a commitment to provide and oversee staff education and mentorship to promote and maintain quality program outcomes. Works in a collegial and collaborative relationship with providers, nurses, and other team health professionals.
Promotes the development of collaborative relationships with peers and other health professionals by articulating practice issues and communication in a professional and constructive manner. Advocates for patient safety at all times. Ability to work with minimum supervision within the guidelines set up by the department. Must be willing and able to work in a face paced, frequently changing environment.
The clinical coordinator is responsible for assisting the supervisor with training, mentoring, providing education to new employees, current employees and students.
The clinical coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory, charge capture, and quality assurance programs.
The clinical coordinator is responsible for ongoing education related to competency & equipment management.
The clinical coordinator is responsible for staff scheduling, evaluations and disciplinary actions in accordance with policy.

Other information:
Current CPR certification
Registered Nurse (RN) who holds a Baccalaureate Degree or higher and completes a formal, accredited WOC full scope or specialty education program
Maintain national certification as a Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse (WOCN)

This job will be authorized 40.00 hours bi-weekly.
