Summary

Position Summary

The Clinical Analytics Manager provides clinical decision support for the functions of clinical documentation, quality, and related financial components of the data systems. This position is responsible and accountable for the aggregation and validation of publicly reported clinical data including but not limited to the CMS Inpatient Quality Reporting Program (IQR), the CMS Outpatient Quality Reporting Program (OQR) and patient centered registry data including but not limited to Chest Pain, Stroke, Heart Failure, Trauma, Hemodialysis Vascular Initiative and Society of Thoracic Surgery. The Clinical Analytics Manager coordinates a comprehensive data management process to supply data in a timely manner to all departments in support of continuous quality improvement, nursing and medical research projects, grant programs and lean/six sigma projects.  The Quality Specialist positions report to the Clinical Analytics Manager.  The Clinical Analytics Manager reports to the Corporate Director of Quality Services.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • BS in information systems, computer science, nursing or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Equivalent experience includes a minimum of 10 years of clinical decision support experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical and financial data and applicable analyses
  • 5-7 years of management experience
  • Expert level Microsoft Excel

License/Registration/Certifications 

  • RN (SC License) with minimum of 10 years of clinical experience
