Working Hours:  Clinic Hours Monday-Friday

Summary:
The certified nurse midwife (CNM) is an advanced practice nurse who is responsible for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nurse midwifery care delivered to ante partum, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn, and gynecologic patients. The CNM performs physical exams, collects and documents data, manages labor and spontaneous delivery, orders diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders laboratory studies and professional consultations, and prescribes appropriate interventions and medications. The CNM practice includes primary as well as specialized care provided in multiple locations such as labor and delivery, triage, emergency department, medical/surgical units, and outpatient clinics. The CNM promotes safety and quality in clinical care, contributes to research and teaching, and provides leadership in the organization.

License / Certifications / Requirements:
BLS, NRP; Candidates without NRP will be considered but must obtain NRP within 90 days of hire. RN licensure in state of Arkansas , Certified Nurse Midwife license in Arkansas; Must demonstrate and maintain credentialing and licensing requirements of BHS.

Education:
Master's Degree in nursing preferred.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
