Description
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Assists the physician in the performance of invasive advanced cardiac procedures, has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures and sedation for patients. Additionally will serve as subject matter expert in challenging and difficult cases by providing guidance to fellow cath lab techs in the proper operation of equipment and procedures used in the Catheterization Laboratory. Must be able to perform a combination of higher level functionality in Vascular and/or Structural Heart; or EP Level III; or Advanced Vascular (such as Gel Foam and Coil embolization of bleeds, Vascular Angiojet and CSI Procedures, Infusion Catheter Lysis, CSI, Vascular Stenting and Angioplasty with DEB, IVC Filter Placement) based on entity specific service line.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5 years of Cath Lab Tech Experience
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current Georgia RN license or RCIS Certification
