We are looking for a talented Assistant Medical Physicist to join our team here at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Job Summary:

Under the consultative supervision of the Associate Chief of Proton Physics, assists the Medical Physics team with routine quality assurance tasks and daily, monthly, and annual quality assurance tests. Performs patient specific plan verification measurements and/or calculations, assists with the development of customized software tools and the administration of the radiation safety program. Under supervision, performs routine medical physics task.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in health physics or closely related fields is required (Master’s degree preferred).
• Three years’ experience as a Health Physicist in a hospital environment, or equivalent applicable work experience, is preferred.
• Certification by the American Board of Health Physics is preferred.
